We booked the string trio for our wedding in February. They played beautifully through our wedding ceremony and drinks reception and I have to say it gave an extra special dimension to the day. All our guests loved them. Booking etc is so straightforward with excellent communication from David. My only gripe is that I didn't hear enough of them as I was outside a lot having photos taken!! If you want something "extra" on your special day I would say don't hesitate to book Capella, you won't regret it!

Capella did an amazing job for our wedding day! We had requested several songs not in their repertoire and even asked them to play a short part of a lullaby my dad sang to me as a child that didn’t have sheet music. They exceeded all of our expectations and also had such a fun repertoire to play for dinner. All of our guests enjoyed hearing the wide variety of music genres they played from classics to today’s pop hits. Everyone commented on how much they added to our wedding ambiance. We could not have been happier and would highly recommend them!

Setting things up, customizing, and planning was so easy it added zero stress to our day. The music was wonderful, couldn’t have asked for more!

David and the Capella String Quartet team was the greatest touch to add to our wedding day! David was communicative and had an extensive list of songs to choose from. We had a special request for our wedding day and shared it with David to see if it would be possible for them to learn and play. David and the team not only learned the song, but also shared with us how much they enjoyed the song we choose and how excited they were to play it for us.

As wedding days get busy for the bride and groom we were unable to enjoy the live music as we were away trying to capture our photos before the sun set, our guests were able to enjoy the music during our drinks reception.

However, when we had a moment we were able to have David and his team come play our song while our photographers and videographers capture us dancing.

We were so happy to work with David and wish we had more time to enjoy watching him and the team perform!

The Capella string quartet played at my wedding in October and wow! My guests loved the contemporary music played by strings. Every song was fantastic. The band also learned two songs that I requested and kept them a secret so they were a surprise for guests and my husband. (They were my husband’s favourites).
Organising it all was made so easy, you’re guided through all the steps so that you’re able to have the music you want. I was emailing with David who was always so responsive and helpful.

We had our wedding on the 1st of October at Kinmount house, and David was unbelievable. The whole planning process was seamless and easy, and David put us right at ease. We had David with us on our wedding day, from ceremony through the cocktail hour…the music was so perfect. We all felt the emotion during the ceremony as the music was so beautiful and then lots of fun and laughter at our cocktail hour. We had the string trio play on our wedding day and it was one of the best decisions we made for our day. The strings played as guests mingled/found their seats before the ceremony, during our registrar signing and then throughout the entire drinks reception. The entire process from booking to the day was smooth, easy and stress free. From roughly 4 weeks before we chose a handful of songs to play during specific parts of our day and I had noted that we were big Disney fans so a lot of Disney was played. Many compliments from our guests really set in stone how happy we were in our decision to book Capella! If you are undecided on whether you need strings on your wedding day, let this be your decider to do it, you won’t be disappointed!!!

We first heard one of the Capella soloists perform at the Brig o’ Doon wedding fayre and instantly knew we had to have them play on our big day. They fit perfectly with the fairytale vibe of Brig o’ Doon and brought such a magical atmosphere to our wedding.

From the very beginning, communication with David was so easy. He even arranged a Zoom call with us to talk through our ideas and help us decide how best to include them in our day. In the end, we chose the String Trio for our ceremony and David himself as a solo violinist during our dinner — and it couldn’t have been more perfect.

They were so flexible with song choices, even learning new pieces that weren’t in their repertoire so I could surprise my husband-to-be with a message from our little girl, as well as some meaningful songs to be played before I walked down the aisle. When I finally heard my aisle song played live, it hit me right in the feels — it was honestly magical.

Capella set up in the gardens for our photos, then moved indoors for the drinks reception, playing everything from classical music to chart hits. During dinner, David brought incredible energy as a solo violinist, and our guests absolutely loved him — we could hardly eat because we were too busy dancing! He even took requests, which went down a treat with everyone.

If you’re considering booking Capella, it’s a huge YES from me. They are unbelievably talented and added such a special, fun, and emotional touch to our day. I can’t thank them enough.

We were debating how to manage playlists for signing and cocktails when we saw David playing an open evening at our venue. He was so good and the music was perfect, we went home and booked within a couple of days. All communication was great and David was so wonderful on the day, so many of our guests commented. In April, David played our wedding ceremony and drinks reception at One Devonshire Gardens in Glasgow, and was so incredible!

Before booking Capella, we initially toyed with the idea of just having a track playing when I walked down the aisle, while we signed our papers, once we walked back up the aisle etc… But we’re so glad we didn’t. Having songs you love played live, so beautifully, on the violin, is honestly unmatched.

The music at our drinks reception was also so lovely, with a great mix of modern and classic music, keeping everyone entertained and in awe. So beautiful, thanks so much again David! 🎻

The Capella string trio played at our wedding during the ceremony and drinks reception. We were given an extensive list prior to our wedding we could pick from and we were able to choose some of our own songs too so there was an amazing variety of music played. The weather was really sunny so the trio played outside as guests socialised and had drinks and canapés which made for a really lovely reception. Very responsive to emails, friendly, professional and played such an important role in our day - we couldn’t have chosen anyone better and we loved having Capella at our wedding, we would thoroughly recommend!

We hired capella string quartet for our wedding on the 27/3/25 and we are so happy we did! They were absolutely amazing and had a huge variety of songs for us to pick from! People especially loved the hobbit theme song and they disney covers and everything in-between! All the guests really loved it and so did we! We couldn't recommend Capella enough! We hired David as a soloist to play from just before our ceremony, during our ceremony and through our drinks reception. From start to finish he was professional, friendly and did everything he could to ensure that we got what we wanted, including getting in a last minute rehearsal with my cousin to practice the accompaniment for the song she sang during our ceremony, which was such a special moment for us. Our guests were also very impressed and spoke about how amazing he was all day. Overall, this was one of the highlights of our wedding day, and we could recommend David more!

Capella played my brother's wedding on 31st August 2024, and they were brilliant. A mix of beautiful classical music, and some modern popular songs...which gave us the opportunity to play Name That Tune!

I got to walk down the aisle to 'Sweet Caroline' which they were more than happy to do as well as Rocky for our exit song 😂. Our guests loved them❤️, I'm just sad we didn't get to hear enough of them as we were our getting pictures.

We didn't ask them to do this, but as we missed two of our 'personal song arrangements' that the team had learned specifically for our wedding, Capella had recorded them for us and sent them to us. We got to share these with our Turkish family (they were Turkish songs) which was amazing. It just means I will need to book them again❤️ but not for another wedding 🤞haha. We couldn’t have asked for a more talented and all round lovely individual. Nothing was too much hassle for David - he was quick to reply to any queries via email and was always happy to help. Can’t recommend Capella highly enough. They were one of the very first suppliers we booked for our wedding and all communication was a pleasure - very professional and straightforward. They were incredible on the day, some lovely personal touches during the ceremony and an absolute highlight of our day. I’m only sad I didn’t get to hear them more as we were out doing photos during the canapés but so many guests mentioned how fantastic they were. 10/10!

We recently had Freya playing as a solo violinist at our wedding and she was awesome. We had Freya playing for guests taking their seats for the ceremony, playing for the bridal procession, during the signing of the register then afterwards they set up outside on the lawn for the drinks reception.
Even in the lead up to the wedding, David was very helpful and accomodating in helping us make our choices for music as certain points of our day and nothing seemed a bother.
Capella were definintely a great addition to our day and I would recommend this company to anyone considering this style of music for an event.

I love Capella! I cannot say enough good things about them. We used them for a quartet at our own wedding and have recently used them again for a violinist at daughter’s wedding. Capella played at our wedding last weekend at enterkine House. I can't believe how amazing it was. she played the perfect up beat music. All the guests commented to say how good she was. and it's something a bit diffrent. we honestly can't recommend them enough!

David was absolutely amazing on our big day. We spoke to him on the phone a couple of weeks before the big day and I requested if he could play my song going down the aisle for the bridesmaids and then the actual song for me and he carried this out amazingly the transition between the violin and the music was brilliant. We also requested Queen 'crazy little thing called love', David learned this for us and it was fantastic. All our guests loved the music and vibe David gave on our special day and he really made our drinks reception that bit more fun with lovely music playing in the background of everyone speaking.

David recently played at our wedding and literally made it even more special than we could have imaged. He played so beautifully and everyone complimented how amazing he was, and the atmosphere! Capella String Quartet played for our wedding (May 2023) at Cottiers in Glasgow. We had a trio play for our ceremony, where they arrived in advance ensuring everything went off without a hitch. They played our requested song to perfection, happily adapting with some last minute changes for the ceremony. They elevated the wedding adding a touch of class and sounded amazing!!

The trio then played the reception covering a range of songs, which all the guests loved. We then added on the solo violinist for dinner as background music. We would highly recommend hiring them.

He played to backing tracks and as the bride and groom are getting photos during the reception. It gave us time to appreciate the talent. It provided great entertainment that wasn’t to intrusive as they balance the violin with backing music and guests were singing along! We would highly recommend.
